Dear Paradigm High Families,

Here are our announcements for the week:

  • Final grades from 1st semester are now available to view on SIS. To see your final grades and GPA, go to "Reports" ---> "Student Transcript." Remember, your username is your student ID # and the password you were assigned at the beginning of the school year. Contact us in the main office if you're having trouble logging in.
  • Attention Seniors/Graduating Juniors! There is a MANDATORY Jostens meeting tomorrow Tuesday January 27th at 10:30 am. Please report to your 3rd period class for attendance and we will call you down to the gym.
  • Hey Seniors and Graduating Juniors! Have you been accepted to a college/university next year? Come let us know in the main office so that we can put up a star for you on our Paradigm College All-Stars board!
  • Did you have a great time at the Dance Lab last Friday night? Come to Social Dance Club and get ready for another Dance Lab next month! Social Dance Club is held every Thursday in the east side of the gym from 3:00-4:00 pm. We will have fun with swing, waltz, foxtrot, cha-cha, vintage dancing, and more! See you there!
  • There will be Academic Decathlon practice with Mrs. Tippetts in the band room today, Monday, starting at 3:00!
  • Tunes at Noon this Wednesday at lunch under the stairs! All are welcome!
  • Mock Trial competition season is in full swing! High School Mock Trial meets today and every day after school. Prep School Mock Trial meets tomorrow from 3:00-4:00in room #141 but is also invited to the high school meetings as well. See you there!
  • This is your last week to guarantee your copy of the yearbook! They are available to order in the office and online at www.paradigmhigh.org. The price is $55. The price will go up to $60 starting in February. You can put a down payment of $25 this week to guarantee your copy at the $55 price. If we sell 40 yearbooks, we will have a dance party during lunch! Don't forget to preserve your Paradigm memories today.
  • The 4th edition of Yearbook Man is coming out this week. Find out what happens to this comic book hero and order your yearbook today.
  • Have you taken on the Shakespeare Challenge or are you thinking about joining? We want to help you with the play, King Lear. The library will be playing the movie starring Laurence Olivier during lunch this week. We will start at 11:50 pm every day. Come watch and enjoy King Lear
  • Feast and Ball is right around the corner on Saturday May 10th. As many ladies begin looking for a dress now, we want to make sure the standards of this VERY FORMAL event are made clear so shopping is easier. Because this is a FORMAL and sophisticated event, all dresses must be modest and to the floor. Shoulders, cleavage, and shoulder blades MUST be covered. We do not want to send anyone home from Feast and Ball this year so if you find a dress that you have a question about, take a picture and bring it to either Ms. Hanson in room #222 or to Mr. Seminario for approval. Any other questions about Feast and Ball, please see Ms. Hanson in room #222.
  • Attendees at Feast and Ball will once again enjoy a Waltz-Off! If you wish to participate, begin practicing now!
  • Paradigm A Capella and Madrigal choirs are very honored to have the opportunity to do a joint concert with the Salt Lake Vocal Artist directed by Brady Allred. The Salt Lake Vocal Artists are internationally known and tour all over the world. The concert is February 15th at 7:30 pm at St. Ambrose Church at 1975 South 2300 East in Salt Lake City. Student tickets are $5 if purchased in advanced. Adults are $10. It is going to be an amazing show. See Jonathan Clawson to purchase tickets!
Have a great week!
