Dear Paradigm High Families,

Here are our announcements for the week:

  • This Tuesday is the last day of the semesterWednesday through Friday will be Simulation Days. For those who are new to Paradigm, Simulation Days are a school-wide activity and regular classes will not be held. Students who attend Simulation Days are expected to participate. If students do not wish to participate, they can be excused from school those days with parent permission. Friday will still be a half-day (8:00-12:30).
  • There is no school next Monday January 20th in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. 2nd Semester classes will begin on Tuesday January 21st.
  • Attention all Seniors and graduating Juniors: Tuesday January 28th there will be a mandatory Jostens meeting at 10:30 am. This is an important meeting regarding graduation, so if you are unable to attend, please let Larissa in the counseling office know and she will get you the necessary information.
  • There will be NO Academic Decathlon today with Mrs. Tippetts due to a staff meeting. The next practice with Mrs. Tippetts will be held on Monday January 27th.
  • Come to Social Dance Club! This week we will be having fun with the Cha Cha! Bring your friends! There will be treats for every gentleman who comes as well as for every lady who brings a gentleman. We will be meeting in the gym on Thursday at 3 pm. See you there!
  • ACT Math Prep has been cancelled this Thursday.
  • All Academic Decathlon students please come see Mrs. Divis ASAP. We have a competition this Friday.
  • Just a reminder that the AP Biology class will NOT meet today. If you have not picked up today's packet from Mr. Ensign, please stop by room #206 right after school to get it. We will have our normal meeting on Wednesday.
  • Attention Outdoor Adventure Enthusiasts! Our next adventure with the Outdoor Adventure Club will be cross country skiing at Soldier Hollow in Midway, Utah. The date will be in early February, so stay tuned for details. You don't need to have prior cross country skiing experience to join us on this event. Stay tuned or see Mrs. Cavallaro for more information.
  • Mock Trial meets tomorrowTuesday, in room #141 from 3:00-4:00 pm. See you there!
  • The Paradigm Choir Concert on December 18th was amazing! You can order a professionally made DVD of the performance for $10. Pay the office before this Friday January 17th. DVDs will be distributed starting Tuesday January 21st.
  • Believe it or not, Feast and Ball is right around the corner (in May). As many ladies begin looking for a dress now, we wanted to make sure the standards of this VERY FORMAL event are made clear so shopping will be easier. Because this is a FORMAL event, all dresses must be modest and to the floor. Shoulders, cleavage, and shoulder blades must be covered. We do not want to send anyone home from Feast and Ball this year so if you find a dress you have a question about, take a picture and bring it to either Ms. Hanson in room #222 or to Mr. Seminario for approval. Any other questions about Feast and Ball, please see Ms. Hanson in room #222.
  • You have just over a week to guarantee your copy of the Yearbook. After that it will be on a first come, first serve basis. You can order online through the Paradigm website www.paradigmhigh.org and click the yearbook link. You can also put a down payment of $25 for the high school yearbook in the office. Order your yearbook now!
  • The semester is ending and your library books are now due. Please turn in any books from this semester to the library so your account will be clean and ready to check out books for your new classes.
  • Parent Education NightWednesday January 15th from 6:30-7:30 pm in room #142. We will be focusing on student mental and emotional safety and providing community resources for mental and emotional health for your student.
