Dear Paradigm Families,

Here are our announcements for the last week of school:

  • Attention Senior Parents: If you have any Graduation tickets that will go unused, we would appreciate it if you would return them to to the office this week. Thanks!
  • In regards to our e-mail that we sent last Friday from our Governing Board President, Noreen Gibbons: if you have any donations for the mentor BBQ, please contact Noreen at Thank you!
  • Please return any dress code clothing that you borrowed from the front office this week. Also, please make sure to check the lost and found for anything you may have lost during the school year. All items left in the lost and found will be donated to Goodwill over the summer.
  • Thank you to all who auditioned for our musical, Bye Bye Birdie! Please check Mrs. Baugh's door for your part if you haven't already. There is a 15-minute mandatory meeting for all Bye Bye Birdie cast members today at 2:50pm in room #103 to discuss costumes and performance dates. Be there!
  • Just a reminder for Mr. Rogers' Chemistry students: Don't forget to bring your photo-chemical t-shirts to school tomorrow to wear over your dress code shirts and remember that you are still expected to be in dress code without the t-shirt.
  • Any dancers who ordered showcase DVDs need to come pick them up ASAP from Miss Watterson in room #141. Picture CDs still have not come in yet, so please stay tuned for when to pick those up.
  • Shakespeare Competition Team auditions are coming up this summer! The team will travel to Cedar City this October 3rd-5th to compete. While there, students will also have the opportunity to attend classes taught and performed by some of the leading Shakespearean professionals in the country. The fee for participating and travel is not set yet, but will be forthcoming. If you would like to audition or would just like more information, please e-mail Rebecca Warden at
  • The Choir Concert last Friday was standing room only and the choirs received a standing ovation from the audience! Thanks for all of you who attended and sang. DVDs of the concert are available to purchase for $5 in the front office until tomorrow Wednesday May 29th at 3:30pm. The DVDs will be available to pick-up starting next Tuesday.
  • Choir students: please remember to turn in all of your choir music by the end of school on Wednesday or it will be billed to your student fees account.
  • Musicians, there are 80 days of summer from June 1st to the first day of school on August 19th. Practicing takes motivation, especially during the summer. United as a group, we can encourage each other. Sign-up today for the Paradigm Summer Practice Challenge! Simply estimate how many hours you can pledge to practice and then add it to our spreadsheet online ( or There will be prizes for all students who meet their goals and prizes for the top three students. When school starts, we will give a small concert (optional) showcasing what we have learned!
  • If you finished reading the book, Les Miserables (unabridged or abridged versions), we need to know by noon tomorrow! You will receive a prize if you finished it. Please let us know in the library. We are so excited that you took the challenge and accomplished a huge goal!
  • You have until tomorrow to return your library books or pay fines. If you do not return your books, you will be charged for the replacement of the book. Seniors will not graduate, you will not receive your yearbook, and/or you will not have a class schedule for next year created for you. Please turn in your books today!
  • There are only 25 yearbooks left. You don't want to be left without a yearbook on Thursday, especially if you're a senior! Yearbooks are $55. You can no longer order online, so please pay in the office.
  • We are excited to announce the Yearbook Sign and Socialize party! On Thursday, May 30th, after lunch and the awards assembly, we will have our annual Yearbook Sign and Socialize. It will be held from 1:30-4:00pm. Come listen to music and have all your friends sign your book.
  • This Thursday is the Paradigm Olympics! We look forward to everyone exerting their physical or mental prowess as they compete for the gold. Events include competitions in a 5K run, outdoor basketball, volleyball, the Gauntlet of Challenges, ping pong, chess, history bowl, speech contest, essay contest, Magic and Pokemon card game tournaments, a hot dog eating contest, and, of course, our special Geek-Off! Students will get to sign-up for two events tomorrow during their core class. This will be fun! Students need to report to their 1st period B day on Thursday before the Olympics will begin.
  • This Friday, the last day of school, is a modified school day. Students will need to report to their first period A day at 8:00 am and then we will begin our annual Talent Show! We have a host of applicants seeking to participate, but unfortunately, there are so many that we can't hear from them all. Sotomorrow morning, Wednesday, we will post of the office window the names of everyone that made it into the show. After the talent show ends, students will be able to get their yearbooks signed and students will be dismissed at 12:05pm.

Have a great summer!
