Here are our announcements for the week:
  • The Administration would like to make a few clarifications on the new Dress Code Additions that have gone into affect starting today: 1) Shoes must be either SOLID black or DARK BROWN. Tan is not a color option for shoes! They can be any style of shoe as long as they are either solid black or dark brown. 2) Jackets, sweaters, or coats that have a hood must be ONE SOLID COLOR and must ZIP UP! Pull-over hoodies are not allowed. 3) If you have a logo on your jacket, sweater, or coat, it must be the size of a quarter or smaller. Large logos or patterns are not allowed! If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask us in the office. We hope that this will benefit everyone in the long run and we've had some great positive feedback from it!
  • Attention Parents! The Junior/Senior Tea (for students and parents) will be held on Thursday April 26th at Pioneer Hall. All Juniors and Seniors will receive a formal invitation to this event for themselves and their parents. As we prepare for this event, we find we are in need of a few items to be donated to the yearly Tea Party box. These items can be new or gently used: silver serving tongs (not real silver!), spatulas, vases, clear plastic water glasses, clear plastic dessert plates, clear plastic forks and spoons, and tiered plates for serving food. When the invitations go out, they will include a request for donated food items and other help we may need. If you have any questions, please contact Ms. Hanson at
  • The PEERS Project, which is a community service project being done through Easter Seals, will be having a meet and greet this Thursday February 9th at 6:00 pm at the SLC Food Bank, Please RSVP with Jacquelynn Bradley at either (801)244-3177 or by e-mail at She can also answer any questions you might have about participating in this community service leadership opportunity.
  • Congratulations to the Academic Decathlon team who took 1st place in the small schools division at their regional competition this weekend! Every team member earned at least one individual medal, leading to an overall team score of 29,448 points! Way to go!
  • Language Club will be meeting this Friday after school in room #144. This week is all about French with Mrs. Jones! Please join us!
  • We will be having Introduction to Engineering Design Club from 3:00pm to 4:00pm in room #206 today. Come check it out! Visitors are always welcome!
  • Film Club is meeting this Thursday from 3:00pm to 4:30pm in room #142. We will be watching The Princess Bride this week!
  • Choir pictures are this week! All choir members need to remember to come in their choir uniforms to school on either Tuesday or Wednesday so that pictures can be taken during choir class time. All members of this year's A Capella are invited to be in the picture, including those who had to drop out at semester in order to graduate.
  • The American Mathematics Contest (AMC) is TOMORROW! The AMC will take place during 1st and 2nd periods. If you are planning on taking the AMC exa, please report to your 1st period class and we will call you down when it's time to start! If you have not yet filled out the information portion of your answer form, please stop by Mrs. Morris' room today to do so. It will only take about 5 minutes. If you are interested in taking the AMC exam and have not yet signed up with Mrs. Morris, we still have a few spots available! Let Mrs. Morris know ASAP if you'd like to participate!
Have a great week!
